Manchester United transfer news: Antoine Griezmann offered £220,000-a-week deal to match pal Paul Pogba

ANTOINE GRIEZMANN has been promised the same Galactico contract as Paul Pogba if he joins Manchester United.
SunSport understands Old Trafford chiefs discussed personal terms with the Atletico Madrid star’s representatives during talks this week.
And United offered Griezmann, 25, the huge £220,000-a-week deal paid to Pogba — plus identical bonuses.

United have started talks over a summer move for Griezmann
That means the France team-mates would be joint top earners at United as manager Jose Mourinho attempts to steer the club back to the top of English and European football.
We revealed last month United had identified forward Griezmann as their No1 target and they have employed a top agent to conduct negotiations.
United have yet to agree a fee for  Griezmann with Atletico, who are demanding they shell out his  £86million release clause.
But the Red Devils are  still confident of reaching an agreement with the Madrid club — and could even offer players as makeweights in any deal.
Midfielder Pogba’s monster deal is for four years with the option of another year and includes image rights payments over and above his basic salary.
He will also get a £5m tax-free loyalty bonus if he  stays for five years.
